A massive leak just shook the narrative adventure community. PEGI, the European content rating board, apparently listed a new Life is Strange: Reunion.
If the listing is accurate, Square Enix is preparing to bring back the franchise’s most iconic duo much sooner than anyone expected.

The PEGI Leak: What We Know
The leak surfaced on the official PEGI website before being quickly pulled. It listed the title Life is Strange: Reunion with a release date of March 3, 2025.
Since that date has already passed, industry analysts suspect this is a typo for March 3, 2026.
This aligns with comments made last December by Zina Khakhoulia, the French voice actor for Max Caulfield. She strongly implied a new episode was in production, and this rating seems to confirm her slip-up.

Max and Chloe: The Controversy Returns
The synopsis found in the listing offers huge narrative implications. It suggests Chloe Price arrives at Caledon University—the setting of Double Exposure—seeking Max’s help.
Chloe is reportedly haunted by “nightmares and impossible memories.” Meanwhile, Max faces her own crisis: a “major fire” (or tornado, depending on translation variances) threatens to destroy the campus in three days.
This plot description worries long-time fans. Bringing Chloe back effectively canonizes the “Save Chloe” ending of the first game, invalidating the choices of players who chose to save Arcadia Bay.
Furthermore, the listing details a sequence involving hallucinogenic mushrooms, where visual perception distorts, confirming an M-rating (PEGI 16) for drugs and strong language.
Verdict: Is Reunion Real?
The evidence is strong. PEGI ratings are rarely wrong about a game’s existence, even if details like dates are tentative.
However, the rapid turnaround after Double Exposure suggests this might be a smaller, standalone expansion or a direct sequel built on existing assets. If you felt burned by the previous entry, wait for gameplay footage before pre-ordering.
Do you think canonizing one ending ruins the point of the original game, or is it worth it to see Max and Chloe together again?
