Killer Inn Launches in Early Access – Multiplayer Murder Mystery starting February 12, 2026

In a few days, the Early Access of Killer Inn starts, a new multiplayer murder-mystery game for up to 24 players. There will be Wolves (murderers) and Lambs in the game, each needing to defeat the other team. The game is set to launch in Early Access on February 12th and will initially cost only $9.99/€9.99. Developed by Tactic Studios in collaboration with Square Enix and TBS GAMES, the game combines action with a murder scenario.

Killer Inn

What is Killer Inn?

The 24 players have been invited to a remote castle by the mysterious organization Astra. In Killer Inn there are Wolves and Lambs, with the Wolves being the killers. The goal of the Wolves is to kill all the Lambs. Everyone looks like a human, and you cannot distinguish friend from foe. Everyone can find weapons and defend themselves against attackers. There are also traps and much more to fight with. So, there is a genre mix of social deduction, action, and tactical elements here.

Gameplay in Killer Inn

The 24 players are divided into two large teams: Wolves and Lambs. The standard distribution will be 8 Wolves and 16 Lambs, but this can certainly be changed in the settings. The Wolves must kill the Lambs undetected, preferably as many as possible without being discovered. Lambs can also defend themselves against the Wolves. For this, they have various weapons, grenades, melee weapons, or traps at their disposal, just like the Wolves.

The Lambs must collect clues found near every corpse. This allows them to narrow down who it could have been, for example, through scraps of fabric in a certain color or fingerprints. This collection of evidence distinguishes the game from simple social deduction games, as actual investigation takes place. There is no button for a break like in Among Us; there is only the investigation.

But the Lambs have a second way to win the game. Instead of killing all the Wolves, they can also escape from the castle. To do this, they must find enough keys and then open the gate. This is hard to achieve alone, and it’s difficult to find out whether your helper is a foe or a friend. Additionally, there are quests, collectibles, and equipment that make the gameplay more varied. You have to communicate with the other players and, as a Wolf, it’s best to deceive and win them over to your side so that you are safe later—only to stab them in the back at the end.

Early Access and Community Feedback

Killer Inn will first appear in Early Access on February 12th, where the game will be cheaper than at release. In Early Access, the game is expected to cost only €9.99. During Early Access, the developers want to collect feedback from players and continue to improve the game until the official release. There are optional in-game purchases for cosmetic items even during Early Access.

Conclusion: Promising Genre Mix with Early Access Potential

Killer Inn combines social deduction with action and real investigation mechanics, clearly setting itself apart from genre peers. The mixture of deception, evidence searching, and direct confrontation ensures tension and dynamics in every round. At the affordable Early Access price, the entry seems fair, while community feedback will be crucial to further expanding balance, content, and long-term motivation.
