Halo Veteran Of 17 Years Leaves Franchise, Issues Cryptic Warning ‘Take Evidence When Necessary’
Glenn Israel has left Halo Studios after working on the franchise for 17 years. He posted a worrying message that hints at leadership issues in the studio.
Many fans were excited for a supposed big reveal of a new game or remake at the Halo World Championship later this month. However, ahead of the showcase, a different kind of headline took the spotlight which sheds light to internal issues in the studio.

Glenn Israel is a veteran in the Halo universe, dating back all the way to 2008 during Bungie’s time. He stayed with the game at 343 Industries and then Halo Studios until he left recently. While the exact date of his departure wasn’t made public, he posted a cryptic and worrying message about his exit a few days ago.
Through a LinkedIn post last week, he mentioned things like “No illusion of security nor promise of wealth or fame or power is worth trading away your health, your dignity, your ethics or values” and “Stay strong, take evidence when necessary.” He did not share exact details as he is most likely under an NDA but he did say that he will share more next year when it’s “safe to do so.”

As Glenn can no longer share more details until next year, Rebs Gaming, a breaking news reporter in the industry, has already spoken to someone to confirm his report about Halo Studio’s leadership issues.
Specific information is still off the record but he will publish it as soon as he gets a go signal from his source. But as of writing, he can confirm that there are in fact leadership issues.
This isn’t the first time reports of tension within the studio have surfaced. Even before the Xbox layoffs, there was already chatter of internal conflict, with some developers reportedly unhappy about the state of an upcoming project.
