Halo Infinite – Everything We Learned at gamescom 2021

Microsoft did not show Halo Infinite during the Xbox Live Stream at gamescom, but we did get a glimpse of it during gamescom opening Night Live.

HALO INFINITE RELEASE DATE

Microsoft has finally given us a release date for Halo Infinite, announcing during gamescom ONL 2021 that the game will launch on December 8, 2021.

Unlike previous titles in the franchise, the campaign and multiplayer will be released separately, much like Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone were.

The Halo Infinite campaign and multiplayer will be launched on December 8, with the multiplayer being free-to-play, whereas the campaign will require purchasing.

It’s not all bad news if you want to play the campaign, though, as it will be available at launch on the Xbox Game Pass.

XBOX SERIES X HALO INFINITE LIMITED EDITION

The Halo infinite full presentation linked to the top of the article was almost entirely a cinematic trailer for the multiplayer experience. However, it did reveal the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle.

The bundle includes:

• Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition console
• Halo Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller
• Ultra-high-speed HDMI cable
• Halo Infinite

The limited edition bundle celebrates Halo’s 20th anniversary, with the console imprinted with stars seen from Zeta Halo.

You can pre-order the bundle now, with the price set at $550/£479.99, but you need to be quick as it has already sold out on the Microsoft Store.
