Halo: Campaign Evolved Prequel Missions Will Feature Brand-New Story
Halo Studios’ recently announced Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of Halo: CE, and along with enhanced visuals and gameplay, the FPS will feature three prequel missions that will reveal a brand-new story.
On the back of the Halo: Campaign Evolved announcement, developer Halo Studios has revealed that the game will include three prequel missions not in the original game.
During a group interview, the developers confirmed that the missions take place before the original Halo: Combat Evolved story and focus on Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson.

What the Prequel Missions Add to Halo’s Story
Without going into too much detail, creative director Max Szlagor revealed the missions are “all new” while remaining faithful to the “original story as it is, to not insert sort of new story in there.”
Game director Greg Hermann added to Szlagor’s comments, explaining that the prequel missions will feature “settings you may be familiar with, if you know the franchise.”
Gameplay and Visual Enhancements
While we may not know the exact details surrounding the prequel missions, we do know that Halo: Campaign Evolved is a modernized remake of the original game, rebuilt with high-definition visuals, enhanced cinematics, and updated controls.
Fans will soon be able to play the complete campaign, rebuilt for the modern era with overhauled audio, expanded weapons, and in online co-op mode. For the first time, the game will launch on PS5.
