Hades II 1.0 Version Launch Confirmed for September 25 and Debut on Nintendo Switch 1 & 2!

Hades II is the new chapter in the isometric roguelike action RPG series by Supergiant Games. A renowned indie development studio from San Francisco, founded in 2009, and the minds behind numerous action RPG titles. Among them, Bastion was their first project in 2011, followed by the celebrated Transistor in 2015. And of course, the incredible success of the first Hades in 2020.

Bringing a second chapter about 5 years later. With development starting around 2021, but with the official announcement arriving at The Game Awards 2022. It landed on Steam in Early Access on 6 May 2024, receiving enormous success. Taking us back into the mythological world of the series. Hades II – Official 1.0 Version and Switch Launch Date Announced

Following an explosive launch in Early Access on 6 May 2024, Hades II is finally ready for its official launch. The team at Supergiant Games has finally revealed the long-awaited launch of the 1.0 version for the new chapter of the mythological action RPG series. Hades II will be leaving Early Access on 25 September 2025.

Marking its long-awaited debut on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 as well. This was all accompanied by the Official Trailer released on 12 September 2025. The adventure stars Melinoë, the daughter of Hades and sister of Zagreus. In an action-packed quest to defend the Underworld and, above all, get revenge against the Titan Chronos and his forces.

 

Hades II: What We Know About Version 1.0

The team at Supergiant Games has not yet shared the details of the 1.0 version of the game. So we’re waiting for news to arrive with the official Patch or an announcement a few days before the debut on 25 September. With the date reveal, however, the team gave us new details about the launch, also thanking the enthusiastic support and feedback from the community.

The NS2 version will be able to run at a whopping 120 fps at 1080p in TV Mode and 60 fps at 1080p in Handheld mode. Meanwhile, the NS1 version will target 60fps in both modes. They also confirmed a free upgrade to the NS2 version and the ability to import saves from PC thanks to cross-save. A Physical version for Switch 2 is also coming on 20 November along with a DLC code for the Soundtrack.

In Conclusion

This is fantastic news for big fans of Hades II, with an incredible debut in Early Access that sold over 700,000 copies. It also marks the game’s debut on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
