GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Launching Late 2021
October 12, 2021 | Gaming News Rockstar has confirmed the rumors about GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, announcing that it will launch later this year.
Rockstar Games has confirmed the rumors and announced the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, announcing that it will launch later this year.
GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is a remaster of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The launch comes on the 20th anniversary of GTA 3’s release and will see all three games feature “across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements.”
Rockstar has promised that the games will maintain the classic look and feel of the originals.
GTA Online is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of GTA 3’s release, with Rockstar adding special gear and events to the game this fall.
Rockstar has begun to remove the original GTA III, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, and their bundles from all console and PC digital stores, including Steam, Xbox Store, and the PlayStation Store.
If you already own them, you can still download, install, and play them. However, they will no longer be available to purchase the week beginning October 11.
For anyone who does not own the originals already, the only way to purchase them digitally from now on is to buy Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will launch for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Rockstar promises more updates on when it launches in the next few weeks.
