Rockstar Games has announced that GTA 5 players on last-generation consoles can now upgrade to the current-gen version of the game at no additional cost. Rockstar Finally Makes the GTA 5 Current-Gen Upgrade Free

Today is a good day for gta fans as Rockstar not only announced its next major update for GTA Online arriving this July which introduces The Kortz Center Heist to the mix, but the team also shared the welcome news of this free upgrade path for last-gen players.

Starting today, June 18, anyone who owns the game on PlayStation 4 or the digital version on Xbox One can transition to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S versions at no extra cost.

Upgrading allows you to experience the most optimized console version of Los Santos built to date.
