Free Sonic Racing Crossworlds Demo Launches September 17 on Select Platforms
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds fans can try out the game again before its official launch. A free demo will be available on Sept 17th
Sonic Racing Crossworlds is officially launching on September 25th but fans won’t have to wait that long to play more of the game. Nope it’s not going to be another beta but a free demo dropping for Playstation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. While that sounds inclusive, unfortunately, older gen consoles are not included.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Free Demo
Sega has announced that a free demo will be available for Sonic Racing Crossworlds on September 17th at 9:00PM PT / 12:00AM ET / September 18th 5AM BST / 6AM CEST.
Although the game will also launch on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, unfortunately, the demo won’t be available for these consoles. As for Nintendo, the Switch will have a demo while Switch 2 is still uncertain. But since the game is confirmed to release on it as well, it won’t be surprising that there will be one closer to launch.
The announcement, made on Sonic the Hedgehog official X account, does not say if the demo has an end date. But it’s safe to say that it will be live at least until the 25th.

Unlike the open beta where we had online multiplayer mode, the free demo is single-player only. And since it’s offline, it’s highly likely that there is no time limit to it.
The demo will include 4 characters (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy), 12 machines, 20 gadgets, and 8 total courses which consists of 3 main tracks and 5 Crossworld tracks. Players will be able to go on the Grand Prix mode, explore customizations, and Time Trials. While most saved data will carry over to the full game, time trials record will not.
