FBC: Firebreak is the new experience from Remedy Entertainment. An experience that brings us back to the Control universe, where we play as agents tasked with dealing with the supernatural anomalies that have struck the Federal Bureau of Control headquarters.
Co-op experience with up to 3 players revealed for the first time in 2021 as “Project Condor”. Here, we’ll face each anomaly using a variety of tools and weapons to reclaim the FBC offices. FBC: Firebreak – Release Date and Time
Today finally marks the release date of FBC: Firebreak, Remedy Entertainment’s FPS co-op experience. Announced on April 24, 2025 during the special Developer Update livestream, where the team shared new information and a chance to test the game with Playtests. FBC is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC today:
- June 17, 2025, at 3:00 am PST / 6:00 am EDT / 12:00 pm CEST
Accompanied by the Launch Trailer released during the PC Gaming Show 2025. Showing the title in action with a first-person shooter filled with chaos and fun in co-op. Featuring a variety of weapons with unconventional features to tackle the anomalies. From simple armed enemies, possessed traffic lights, to monsters made of sticky notes!
FBC: Firebreak – Gameplay and Main Features
FBC offers an adventure in the Control universe, exploring the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, 6 years after it was invaded and overrun by anomalies. As part of the Firebreak team, we will face various missions with different goals and threats to reclaim the headquarters. Thus offering:
- Supernatural Pandemonium: As the Firebreak team, we will face anomalies and bizarre situations that have thrown the headquarters into chaos. A new standalone experience filled with oddities and dangers.
- Co-op Chaos: An experience primarily designed for a cooperative adventure with up to 3 players. We’ll need to work together if we want to survive and complete objectives.
- Not just bullets: We’ll have an arsenal of weapons, including classic firearms and more unique solutions. Customize your Crisis Kit with grenades, accessories, and weapons to create synergies with your team based on your playstyle.
And Game Director Mike Kayatta shares some words on the development and team challenges ahead of launch. The launch will feature 5 customizable Jobs with varying difficulties, number of zones to clear, and randomized experiences. Particularly with Corrupted Items that apply random effects in different zones.
