Avowed strucks with its beautiful fantasy world, and while it can hardly compete with RPG seniors, it still offers a captivating gameplay and nice story. The decisions that you make throughout your journey might have a great impact afterwards, so you have to careful with your choices. Overall, it's an excellent game with a nice concept.
Avowed is Obsidian's latest production. It's an RPG set in a fantasy world that goes back to a certain oldschool tradition, particularly in terms of its rather rudimentary combat (compared to the hyper-dynamic games that abound, such as most Soulslike games...) in FPS terms. Otherwise, you'll love the exploration, and you'll find that the lore is rich, with scrolls, mini-games and interesting side content... but also the main quest, even if it lacks impactful choices!

I’ve been waiting for a good 1st person fantasy RPG for a long time and finally a good one is gonna be released. Avowed has all that I needed to fill my favourite genre, an open world full of secrets to find and locations to explore, a good story by Obsidian, Pillars of Eternity lore, lots of enemies to be killed with sharp weapons, magic or both and interesting companions. I don’t need anything else to be happy and for that I can’t wait for this one to be out.
