Ubisoft Lifts the Curtain on The Division 2 Survivor With Concept Art Tease

Ubisoft announces The Division 2 Survivors at Gamescom 2025 with concept art revealed and community involvement promised in development.

Ubisoft is not only exciting players with the newest season for The Division 2 launching on September 9, but it also announced The Division 2 Survivors which will be the next entry in the series. The game is still in early stages of development but fans were let in already into some concept art.

The Division 2 Survivors Announced

In a pool of old and new extraction survival games, The Division 2 has proved to be one of the pillars of the genre. It is coming up to its 10th anniversary with a dedicated following of old-timers and new agents. And that’s why it wasn’t a surprise that many event-goers and online watchers were glued during their panel discussion at Gamescom 2025.

While there are many great updates and news during the show, the definite highlight was the announcement of The Division 2 Survivors. As it is, it’s already big news but it got even more exciting when it was confirmed that Magnus Jansen, the “veteran of the Division from the early days of the original game”, has come home and is the creative director for Survivors.

As of now, The Division 2 Survivors is still in the early stages of development. No in-game footage or screenshots were shared but some concept art pieces were released by Ubisoft.

The Division team is also getting the community to be part of the development. Executive producer Julian Gerighty said, “The Division 2: Survivors is as much your baby as it is ours, and we strive for transparency during its development. Clear communication and community involvement are a focus as we build the new experience, and we will be closely involving you as we move forward on the development journey.”

In line with this statement, Ubisoft has refreshed the Elite Task Force program and is recruiting more players.
