PowerWash Simulator 2 - The new Gameplay Trailer reveals what’s coming this year

PowerWash Simulator 2 (PWS2) is the new first-person cleaning sim from FuturLab. This Brighton-based UK development team is mostly known for the original game released in 2022 in partnership with Square Enix. It’s a colorful and chill simulator where you’ll use a power washer to clean up the fictional town of Muckingham.

Announced in March 2025, with confirmation it’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S this year. It’s a new title fully developed and published by the team, bringing tons of new gameplay options and features. PowerWash Simulator 2: New Gameplay Trailer Revealed

With a surprise reveal in mid-March 2025, the FuturLab team has shared fresh updates over recent months about PowerWash Simulator 2, including several DevLogs starting in May. Then on 19 June 2025 they dropped the new Trailer for this next cleaning sim adventure.

The trailer is all about Gameplay, showing us the game in action. Armed with our trusty power washer, we’ll clean up the town of Muckingham again. It reveals lots of new features like using lifts, multi-stage messes, and the return of Ulysses the cat. The game is set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2025.

 

PowerWash Simulator 2: What’s New and Features

FuturLab will publish PWS2 on their own, with the game launching simultaneously on next-gen consoles. Unlike the first game, which came out in Early Access on Steam in 2021, launched on Xbox in 2022, and only reached Switch and PlayStation in 2023, the sequel promises improvements to gameplay. The new trailer reveals features like:

  • Multi-Stage Levels: New locations and levels divided into smaller stages, like the Public Bathroom shown in the trailer.
  • Reach New Heights: Access to the ProRise AE-300 mechanized platform and dual rope system to climb and clean hard-to-reach spots precisely.
  • Floor Cleaning & Decoration: The new SwirlForce Surf Ace with 3 different discs to tackle various floor grime. Plus, you can buy and clean some furniture to decorate your Home Base, like a piano.
  • Cat Companions: Ulysses, Bubbles, and Squeak are back and will hang out in your Home Base, joining you on jobs.

Plus, extra info shared in various DevLogs covers customizing your vehicle and washer, new locations like the quirky Teapot Tea Room, confirmed 4-player co-op at launch with shared progress, and even local 2-player split-screen play.

PowerWash Simulator 2 has definitely sparked big hype among fans of the original game. It’s a project fully led by FuturLab with a bunch of new features and mechanics that look promising.
