Neverness to Everness gets a new Gameplay Showcase ahead of the upcoming Co-EX Test

Hotta Studio just dropped a massive 12-minute gameplay look at Neverness to Everness (NTE).If you’ve been waiting for something that feels like a collision between GTA’s urban freedom and Genshin Impact’s anime styling, you need to see this.

It’s not just a quick teaser. This footage gives us a genuine look at how the game flows, from traversing the city of Hethereau to the chaotic, heavy-hitting combat.


The “GTA Meets Anime” Combat Loop

We finally got to see how distinct the characters feel, and Hotta isn’t playing it safe with the designs. The footage introduces us to Lacrimosa, who brings a quirky, chaotic energy to the field. She doesn’t just run; she transforms into a small, flying creature to zip across the map.

In a fight, she pulls objects made of pure energy out of thin air and hurls them at enemies. It looks snappy and incredibly fun.

Then there’s Skia, an anthropomorphic fighter who is all about speed and elegance. His kit revolves around shadow manipulation, letting him extend his reach to sweep up groups of enemies in seconds.

It’s a total contrast to Fadia, who drags around a massive cross. Her attacks are slow, heavy, and deliberate—until she pops her Ultimate, which snaps her into a terrifyingly fast frenzy.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game looks stunning. The Ray Tracing support makes the urban environments pop, creating a sharp contrast with the cel-shaded characters.


NTE Co-Ex Test: Dates and Pre-Load

If the footage has you sold, you don’t have to wait long to try it. The “Co-Ex Test” (Closed Beta) is right around the corner. The developers confirmed that the test runs from February 6 to February 20.

However, if you want to jump in the second the servers go live, you can start pre-loading the client on February 4 at 09:00 (UTC+8).

Here is what you need to know to get in:

  • Eligibility: The checker is live now. You can log in to your Perfect World Games account to see if you made the cut.
  • Wipe Status: This is a progress-wipe beta. No purchases allowed, and your save won’t carry over.
  • Platforms: PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.
  • Safety Warning: Hotta Studio warned that trading or buying accounts is strictly prohibited and will get you banned.


Ready to Roam Hethereau?

Hotta Studio has a lot to prove after Tower of Fantasy, but Neverness to Everness looks like a significant step up technically and stylistically. The mix of urban driving, supernatural powers, and high-fidelity graphics on Unreal Engine 5 is a strong combination. The new footage shows a combat system with real weight and personality.

We’ll know for sure once the servers open on the 6th, but for now, Hethereau looks like a city worth visiting.
