PS Plus Alert! Compare and buy these games before they leave from PS Plus Games Catalog in August.
PlayStation Plus has just refreshed its Last Chance to Play section, giving subscribers an early warning for what’s on the way out. And you’ll want to start planning now as August is a big one. With a longer lineup of titles leaving the service, it’s a good idea to manage your time to make the most out of your subscription.
Games Leaving PlayStation Plus August 2025
Sony has revealed the games leaving PlayStation Plus in August 2025, with the initial update appearing on the Japanese site. While the announcement hasn’t yet rolled out globally, the majority, if not all, are expected to leave in the West as well.
A total of 14 games will be removed from the service mid next month marking a significant increase from last month’s smaller exit list. One of the biggest surprises is Star Wars Jedi Survivor which only joined the service back in February. That’s not even six months on the platform which is a short stay by any standard especially for a major blockbuster release.
Also departing are five games from the Sword Art Online franchise, a major hit for anime and JRPG fans. It’s always disappointing when multiple entries from a single series exit together especially when their interconnected stories are meant to be played in sequence. Luckily, this isn’t one of them.
A total of 14 games are set to exit the PS Plus Game Catalog August 15:
- UFC 5
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
- TopSpin 2K25
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- Wild Hearts
- Ride 5
- Sword Art Online: Lost Song
- Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization
- Sword Art Online: Alicization
- Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet
- Sword Art Online: Last Recollection
- Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- Bugsnax
- Vacation Simulator: Back to Job
While losing titles is never the fun part of PlayStation Plus, the good news is that there’s still plenty of time left to finish up what you’re playing or even start something new before the cutoff. And on a more positive note, new games are arriving on the service today plus a day-one launch title coming July 22. That should bring some much-needed balance to the August rotation.
