Here’s the first wave of games leaving Xbox Game Pass for July 2025. An initial list of 6 games have been confirmed for the first half.

Update July 16 – Microsoft has announced the second set of games leaving this month. By the end of the month, three games are set to depart including Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. If you’ve been parking this, yesterday may have been a good day to start as it takes about 50 hours to complete and get all achievements. It is worth it though especially considering that of the lot, it’s still pretty pricey outside the Game Pass. Here’s all three titles exiting on July 31st.

  • Gigantic (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Turnip Boy Robs a Bank (Cloud, Console, and PC)
 

Original publication – Alongside the announcement of the new titles joining Xbox Game Pass in the first half of July 2025, comes the less exciting reveal of which games are on their way out. And while the number of departures this month isn’t particularly high, the quality of the games leaving makes it a bittersweet moment for Game Pass members. If you’ve had any of these titles on your backlog, now’s the time to make them a priority.

 

Games Leaving Game Pass July 2025

On July 15, six incredible titles will exit the Xbox Game Pass library. Included in the list is Mafia: Definitive Edition, a loss that stings especially hard given the upcoming launch of Mafia: Old Country next month. While the new entry won’t debut on Game Pass, having Definitive Edition available for players to revisit or experience for the first time would have made for a perfect primer.

Also particularly unfortunate is the removal of Tchia especially for Standard-tier subscribers. This beautiful and heartfelt indie adventure was added as a Day-One release when it launched on Xbox last year. Then, just this January, it was brought into the Standard subscription library. Now, only six months later, it’s already on its way out. It’s a tough farewell for a game that many members may have only recently discovered. It’s a great one too.

Here is the list of the eight games set to depart Xbox Game Pass on July 15, 2024.

  • Flock (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Mafia Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Magical Delicacy (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Tchia (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Callisto Protocol (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Case of the Golden Idol (Cloud, Console, and PC)

All of these games are currently available at 20% off for Game Pass members until they officially leave the service on July 15th. It’s a great opportunity to purchase any favorites you want to keep, or finally grab that game you’ve been meaning to try before it disappears from the library.
