Following August’s announcement of the long-awaited official launch of Escape From Tarkov 1.0, some interesting new updates have arrived. It’s been confirmed that the tactical first-person shooter will finally be coming to Steam.
The news comes from Nikita Buyanov, the Studio Head at Battlestate Games. On August 31, 2025, he shared a tease of the EFT Steam Page on Twitter (X). Confirming its arrival on Steam at the community’s request. And with more detailed news coming soon. As well as plans for the console version.

Escape from Tarkov: Version 1.0 Launch Date and What’s New
Fantastic news for big fans of Tarkov comes straight from the confirmation on August 21, 2025, of Tarkov’s official launch. After over 8 years of development and more than 400 updates, it’s finally getting ready for its official launch on November 11, 2025.
The launch is preceded by Patch 0.16.9.0 on August 20, which brought various fixes and balancing. But most notably, the synchronization between Arena and Tarkov’s PvE mode. With the addition of a Ref Trader in PvE with tasks and offers, and resource and equipment transfer. As well as the sharing of the Battle Pass.
