Pearl Abyss has confirmed multiple performance profiles tailored to the PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Whether you prioritize the crispness of native 4K or the fluidity of high-frame-rate combat, the developer is aiming for a premium experience across the board.

Next-Gen Performance: 60 FPS or 4K Visuals?

Pearl Abyss is pushing its proprietary BlackSpace Engine to the limit. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, players can choose between a Fidelity Mode, which targets native 4K at 30 FPS, and a Performance Mode that hits a fluid 60 FPS at a reconstructed 1440p.

Meanwhile, the PS5 Pro utilizes PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) to provide a “Best of Both Worlds” experience. It targets a crisp 4K output while maintaining that essential 60 FPS combat fluidity.

However, Xbox Series S users aren’t left behind, though they will be locked to 1080p with a target of 30 to 45 FPS depending on the action density.
