WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate is a hack-and-slash Musou action strategy game set in a parallel universe created by the sudden appearance of the Serpent King Orochi developed by KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD. The “Warrior Orochi” series features heroes from both “Dynasty Warriors” and “Samurai Warriors” series as well as new characters by popular illustrator Akihiro Yamada. It also includes elements such as “Duel Mode” which fuses elements of versus and card battles.

There is a lot to see and do in Warriors Orochi 3, and being one of my first in-depth experiences with the Musou titles, I came away impressed. Sure it falls short on some basic game mechanics, but it makes up for it with insane combat moves and tons of enemies to mow down. This is the definition of dumb fun, and WO3 packs more than most have the time to discover. If you love the genre, this is like an all-star package; and even for those a little cold on the idea of the games, this is worth a look.

It’s incredibly easy to get into for people who haven’t played any of the games in the series before and provides many hours of fun.
