Startup Company Console Edition held my attention for the first four or five hours. However, as I progressed and got nearer to the end of the game, it soon turned into a case of clicking to and fro and adding ingredients. I did play on but only in short bursts, and it wouldn’t be a game I’d replay. Overall the game is fine as a simulation but doesn’t offer the player anything new.

Ladies Gamers

While I can appreciate the more sandbox-y nature of this game’s approach, moreso unleashing you to do as you will and make mistakes, that also makes it more appropriate for veterans of such games, and I’d imagine someone with less experience would find the lack of helpful directions frustrating as they burn their time on simple mistakes and misunderstandings of how things are meant to happen and flow. Still, if you’ve been itching for a business sim it has some good points on its side.
