Stated goal: 1 Silent Hill per year. I'm against this ambition, even though various studios are involved in games with different styles. But this Silent Hill f is clearly a success. The contrast rooted in rural Japan in the 1960s is striking: between beauty and horror, innocence and cruelty... it's (positively) slow, you manage resources, combat is rare, and you progress more by solving puzzles, fleeing, observing... I loved it and highly recommend it.
A new Silent Hill is coming, not a remaster this time, a full new story set in Japan, lovely town in the year 1960 that of course will be surrounded by fog and our protagonist, teenager Hinako, will have to explore it and face a kind of horrors as the fog gets thicker and thicker. As usual in SH games, the terror is both for what you see and what you don’t see, the mental state of the character. Very hyped game for the graphics and for being a full new story in the long established franchise
