RE: CALL is a visual novel game with puzzle-solving elements developed by maitan69. Play through the memories of different characters you’re controlling. Your actions inside these flashbacks have immediate consequences in the present moment, letting you take advantage of the situation in order to progress the story.

• Solve puzzles by manipulating your memory. Escape a factory, solve a crime, and win the hearts and minds of your enemies by changing the past.
• Get to know over ten characters, each with their unique quirks.
• Investigate how you got these powers in the first place and who is behind this.

RE:CALL Reviews

At the end of the day, RE:CALL is a sleek solo-dev indie title that provides a new history-rewriting game mechanic. Each puzzle acts as its own bite-sized puzzle box for you to analyze and explore while the story provides a lot of fascinating noir-themed goodness. It does swing and miss at a sentimental secondary story, but that doesn’t prevent this game from being a refreshing new indie I’d recommend anyone to try.

The Nintendo Switch 2 might not be a seismic leap forward or mind-bending reinvention, but it didn’t need to be. Nintendo struck gold in 2017, and if a few smart updates here and there mean we get another eight years of brilliant first-party games, surprising third-party ports, and a massive library of indies, you can consider me along for the ride. My favourite console ever, but bigger and better? I couldn’t ask for much more.
