Enter the dealer’s carriage once more in Hand of Fate 2 is a dungeon crawler, part deck building, with the combat of an action RPG game. The dealer has returned 100 years after his defeat and the game of life and death has resumed. The game of life and death is the living board game you and the dealer play your entire life has been condensed into the deck, you build it by adding companions, encounters, and weapons while the dealer also mixes his own cards into yours creating unique scenarios you have to beat.

• 22 new challenge cards that will test your deckbuilding skills – Reunite the star-crossed lovers, build the fortress to withstand the raider’s assault, hunt assassins, etc.
• An all-new companion card, these companions can help you in battle or influence the board game in a limited way outside of combat.

This is mature and confident game development in a genre they’re pretty much crafting on their own at the moment. Honestly, I can’t recommend Hand of Fate 2 enough.

Hand of Fate 2 doesn’t change much of the concept that made the first game so appealing, but everything here – whether it’s challenges, smarter deck building, companion characters, and better combat – marks a major improvement over what we saw in 2015.
