About Dungeons 2

Dungeons 2 is a fantasy themed managed RTS management game developed by Realmforge Studios fulfil the Dungeon Lord’s insatiable quest for vengeance by recruiting fearsome new monsters from all corners of the underworld, but this time taking over the underworld is not enough extend your dominion over the puny humans and attempt to conquer the overworld too!

• Take personal control of the Dungeon lord and craft a network of unique and terrifying dungeons, recruit an army of fearsome creatures and command two new factions.
• Defend your Kingdom against pesky heroes, go above ground to wage war on their human cities and use the ‘Hand of Terror’ to take direct control over your minions, issue commands, and even dish out a swift slap to keep them in line.
• Experience an extensive campaign mode packed with even more of the dark humour which made the original Dungeons a hit and is peppered with numerous references to various fantasy books, movies and TV shows.
• Four competitive multiplayer modes for up to four players via LAN and Internet.

Dungeons 2 isn’t all that original, but its classic Dungeon Keepers roots makes for an enjoyable RTS game.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Dungeons 2. It may be a bit easy for hardcore RTS fans – each level could be completed by over-preparing your dungeon before even setting foot in the overworld – but the addition of multiplayer adds a potential new challenge to test out your evil skills against another human. It may not be the deepest or most concentrated strategy game on the market, but its style, comedy, and fun gameplay make Dungeons 2 a great game.

But the gameplay loop is truly satisfying. Realistically, all I was going into Dungeons 2 with was the hope that I would get something vaguely reminiscent of Dungeon Keeper on my PlayStation 4, and I wasn’t disappointed there by any means. I can’t see myself pulling this one up quite as often as I do the other two Kalypso games I have on my PS4 – Tropico 5 and Grand Ages: Medieval, but by the same token, I don’t regret my time spent with this in the slightest.
