Dune Spice Wars can't fool anyone with its name. It is a 4X game relatively faithful to the universe of Dune, a saga of science fiction novels written by Frank Herbert, and the game is based on the recent success of the first Nolan film released in 2021. So everything is there: you have to control one of the factions of the Dune universe in order to have control over the spice. To do this, you have to travel around Arrakis, on the back of ornithopters for example, to spot the giant worms, learn to tame the desert, and juggle between diplomacy, political management, espionage and counter-espionage, and of course: war. Everything is very strategic, and we will like the political side of the game, even if it could be even more advanced, like in the books. The game is very pleasant to play, less deep than Civilization on the tactical aspect, but faithful to the original work and we appreciate that a lot.
