The investigative mechanics in Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss look like a breath of fresh air for the horror genre, especially with that "Charlie Day" style clue board. It’s rare to find a Lovecraftian game that actually rewards your brain instead of just your reflexes, and the undersea atmosphere is absolutely top-tier.
An adventure-thriller that explores lovecraftian lore and the occult, featuring a rich investigation system with clues and puzzle solving. Despite the obvious cosmic horror woven into this game, it's not much of scary game but does have a somber tone and some tense moments. If you're into narrative experiences where your choices matter, cosmic horror and games that challenge your brain, this might be a good choice for you.
Cthulhu The Cosmic Abyss is based on Lovecraftian lore, and as it must be it is set underwater, in a close future where humans must live there. Of course the ocean hides many secrets and monsters and here is where our hero will start his adventure, investigating the disappearance of some miners and travelling to some of the most gorgeous and fantastic locations I’ve ever seen made in Unreal 5. It will be a fest for the eyes and a torture for our nerves with the many scary stuff and surprises
