About this game

Button City is a colorful adventure and exploration game, set in a low poly cute diorama world. You play as Fennel the fox a new kid in town although a timid and a recluse you form a comradery with other kids at the local arcade, but just as soon as you meet new friends the thing that has banded you together is in danger of being closed down by a greedy capitalist, a fat cat named Peppermint Pepperbottom. Fennel gets swept up in a whirlwind adventure and schemes to save it from being shut down.

• Explore the beautiful town presented in a low poly diorama, travel through the game world by scrolling vertically through different stacked tile areas representing the different points of interest in the town.
• Complete fun and silly side quests, master three arcade mini-games found at the arcade Gobabots – a fun Moba like the game, rEVolution Racer – a fun racing game, and Prisma Beats – a rhythm-based game with great visuals.  Once you master you will be able to unlock a new game mode.
• Decorate your room and dress up in silly costumes with the items find across town.

Button City is an adorable, interesting, fun little game that doesn’t ask for much, and doesn’t overstay its welcome. I think gamers both young and old will enjoy this love letter to the days of arcade gaming where friendships and rivalries were forged and any quarrel was settled in the cab. Definitely give it a look!

Button City provides an enjoyable time but it comes with a lot of caveats that unfortunately sully a full recommendation. There are a number of “, but…” statements after saying “I like it.” You have to be the type of person who likes this gameplay loop, and there are a couple of forced memes in the writing.
