Bulletstorm Reviews

Despite those two setbacks, I don’t have anything particularly negative to say about Bulletstorm. It’s a very fresh FPS in a genre that feels more stale every year. It’s certainly one of the better new IPs that I’ve seen this year, and I’m very curious to see what People Can Fly do with the sequel.

Worth Playing

Small gripes aside, there’s no denying Bulletstorm’s blissful action. Epic Games/People Can Fly’s sadistic opus arrives at a time when most shooters do little more than let you blast dudes in the head while things explode. Bulletstorm has those things, but also lets you shoot a man in the testicles and kick slide his head off.

Game Informer

If we’re being honest for a second, we were surprised. We thought this was going to be an ok game, gimmicky, but ok. Nothing special… boy, were we wrong. Considering the slew of military shooters we’ve had recently (not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with them), this is an incredibly welcome breath of fresh air. Never underestimate the simple need to let loose and cause some mayhem, and the skill shot system is exceptionally done. Questions like what form the DLC will take, where the general idea can go, etc… is something only time will tell us. In the meantime, I hope this game gets the recognition it deserves, if only for being so damn fun.
