Blind Descent is an open-world PVE action-adventure RPG developed by Pokuch. Step into the shoes of four pioneers sent to explore the Martian underground, a vast, uncharted world, a living, reactive ecosystem, to uncover the fate of a missing crewmember. It is no longer just a mission; it’s a transformation, a challenge to integrate and thrive in a world where survival hinges on your ability to learn, adapt, and symbiotize.

What can I say about Blind Descent, other than that it inspires me enormously and could reconcile me with single-player open-world survival games? The game gives pride of place to nature, as you gradually descend into caves. Environmental obstacles require you to be observant and resourceful. Collecting resources, which are not abundant, is obviously necessary. No maps, little information, lots of observation and... tension! I love the concept.
Blind Descent has been quietly playable in a playtest and everyone I’ve seen talking about it is mostly just trying to wrap their heads around how the survival and symbiosis systems feel beneath the Martian surface, there’s curiosity about whether the world really reacts to you and how co‑op will work when it launches in Early Access next year, but for now most of the chatter is calm interest mixed with some patience for more solid gameplay details.
