About this game

Bleed 2 is a run and gun style shoot ’em up game made by indie developer Ian Campbell the sequel to his first game Bleed, Wyrn after the events of the first game is now earth’s only official superhero but now a new villain has invaded earth psychic girl named valentine, her posse of alien invaders, and some familiar faces, it’s time to prove your title as earth’s greatest hero of all time.

• There are seven levels in total but the game is mostly focused on boss fights there are 25 unique boss fights in total spread across the seven levels.
• Bleed 2 has intuitive controls that let you, shoot, dodge, and slow downtime in the heat of the moment.
• After finishing the main campaign once there’s a ton of new features unlocked in the new game mode five new playable characters with different mechanics than Wryn, more weapons, and air dodge abilities.
• Game modes: Arcade mode – finish the main campaign with one life only high scores are logged in the global leaderboard, Endless mode – daily challenges that stretch your skills to the limit, and two-player local co-op mode.

The Switch port is very good. It supports HD rumble and looks great in both modes. Just like the first entry, this supports local co-op on the same Switch in handheld mode as well as docked mode. You do need full controllers for co-op given the control requirements, so a single Joy-Con co-op is not an option.

Bleed 2 is a very accurately named game. In many ways, it could be seen as a level pack for its predecessor, but the few small changes in the design all help to make it a better experience. These kinds of short, creative games are perfect for the eShop, and if we see Bleed 3 at some point I wouldn’t hesitate to pick it up.
