About Banquet for Fools

Banquet for Fools is a party-based role-playing game developed by Hannah and Joseph Games. The deities have abandoned the Vollings, ever resilient and industrious; they have turned to paganism to survive. One lord has staked everything to settle an island long abandoned by its dead civilization; however, trouble quickly presses in from many sides as he leaves to defend his colony. He learns that every inhabitant of one of his farms has vanished without a trace. With few options, he calls on his guards to find four volunteers to venture across the island and investigate this mystery.

• Explore the island of Invimona, visit towns for clues, and stock your party with unique items, assist various farmers, scribes, artisans, and many more. There are no quest logs; you will have to keep track of them through scrolls.
• Experience a brawl-style combat system. When your action bar fills, you can pause the game by opening your combat dome and choosing an action and/or target within the dome. Play as one guard at a time, while the others will continue to attack, defend, kick, charge, etc.
• Though the Vollings have become Pagan, their ancient deities still listen through their likeness in stone, and perhaps if they find the speakers worthy, speak back.
• Take your guard duties seriously, make sure you discuss with your party if you’re attacking to kill or stun, there are consequences of choosing wrong.
