Avowed Releases A PS5 Version and An Anniversary Update on Feb 17th
Obsidian Entertainment announced the Avowed Playstation 5 version and the free Anniversary update, both releasing on Feb 17th.
Another Xbox exclusive title is making the jump. During the recently concluded New Game+ Showcase, Obsidian Entertainment announced that Avowed will soon be available on Playstation 5. The launch, scheduled on February 17th, will not only see the PS5 version of the game but also a free Anniversary Update which will be available for all platforms.

We’re coming up to Avowed’s first year anniversary and while that by itself is already something to celebrate about, there’s more. The game was previously confirmed to be part of New Game+ Showcase which wasn’t at all a surprise since it’s turning 1. And so it wasn’t also a surprise that an anniversary update was on the deck.
This free update will be released on February 17th, just one day shy of its actual anniversary. It will include a New Game+ mode, a Photo mode, a new weapon type, and the ability to change your appearance from the overworld. To cap it off, there will also be three new playable races (Aumaua, Orlan, and Dwarves).
Obsidian Entertainment also announced that Avowed will finally get a Playstation 5 version, also releasing on Feb 17th. It will include all updates and post-release content including the anniversary one. Gamers can now pre-order it on the Playstation Store with a Standard and Premium Edition available. The latter is only more expensive by $10 and already includes digital artbook and soundtrack, 2 armors, and 8 companion skins.
The pre-order bonus Emperor’s Feast will grant players five royal dishes which restores health, mana, and a temporary boost. This includes one of each of Candied Nuts, Wild Mushroom Stew, Roasted Chicken, Paradisan Trout Pie, and Darkest Rauataian Chocolate Cookie.
Avowed is the latest Xbox-exclusive title to come over Sony’s shores. Other notable titles are Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Forza Horizon 5, Grounded, and Hi-Fi Rush.
