Yesterday, February 26, the release date for the first DLC for Ninja Gaiden 4 was announced. The DLC is titled The Two Masters and will be released on March 4. With the Deluxe Edition, you get this DLC for free. Ninja Gaiden 4 The Two Masters brings new weapons, story content, and challenges.
What’s in “The Two Masters” DLC?
The DLC provides new story content that takes place after the end of Ninja Gaiden 4. This means that in order to enjoy anything from The Two Masters, you must have completed the main story. Additionally, the DLC is intended to be a challenge and is deliberately more difficult, keeping in mind that you have completed the game and already know how everything works. The focus of the DLC is on the two masters Ryu Hayabusa and Yakumo, both of whom are playable characters in the DLC.
There is also a new weapon set for both Ryu and Yakumo, both of which are available before the DLC. Both weapon sets have different fighting styles and mechanics. Ryu is good for fast and precise attacks, whereas Yakumo is strong for expressive and powerful weapon techniques. Story and gameplay are intended to highlight the perspectives of both masters.
Additional Challenges and Endgame Content
Just like the story, there is further endgame content after the base game. Namely, Abyssal Road, a new brutal survival mode designed to push you to your limits. The leaderboards will also be reset on March 4, giving everyone a fair chance to climb with all the new content and mechanics in the DLC. This will also keep experienced players busy longer and provide a goal for everyone again. But even if you haven’t played the game yet, you will learn enough on your way to the DLC to have fun there later.
