Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a fun if slightly dated affair. Having played Sniper Elite 4, it’s difficult to go back to V2 and not be influenced by hindsight.

A remastered game is still the same old game, but with prettier graphics. Current owners of Sniper Elite 2 probably won't find better graphics to be worth a purchase, but new players wanting to start the venerable series near the beginning might want to give it a try.

In fact, it seems Rebellion was specifically aiming this release at those who have not played the game at all, and therefore would not be put off by regressing nearly a decade of gameplay and technical improvements. Unless you’re a completionist fan of the franchise or someone who never played V2 before, your money would be better spent elsewhere.
