Ubisoft announced a new Avatar Frontiers of Pandora DLC. From the Ashes will launch in December alongside the film.

If there is one thing Ubisoft has done right the last couple of years, that’s Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Since its release in 2023, the game continues to flourish with updates including 2 main expansions. And today, that 2 becomes 3 as Ubisoft announced a new DLC for the game.

Avatar is united on all fronts. Not only is a new film coming out in December titled Avatar: Fire and Ash, but a corresponding game is also launching featuring the Ash clan. Both are releasing on December 19th so Avatar fans, gamer or not, can savor every bit of Pandora for the holidays.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora From the Ashes DLC will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect. For those subscribed to Ubisoft+, you can play this expansion for free on day-one.

It is a standalone purchase for those who already own the game. For those who don’t, there is the From the Ashes Edition which contains both base game and DLC.

This is the third main DLC for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. The first one was The Sky Breaker which was released in summer of 2024 and then followed by Secrets of the Spires which launched fall of the same year.

   

Ubisoft’s From the Ashes DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora takes place after the the events of the main game and follows So’lek, a hardened Na’vi warrior of the Trr’ong clan, who survives an ambush by the RDA and their brutal new allies, the Ash Clan. Awakening to a world in chaos and his family scattered, So’lek sets out on a journey of survival, vengeance, and reunion.

Launching the same day as Avatar: Fire and Ash, the DLC is part of a collaborative effort between Massive Entertainment, Lightstorm, and Disney to create a cohesive narrative across both the game and film. Key elements like the Ash Clan, Wind Traders, and a mysterious new creature appear in both, offering fans a unified and immersive Avatar experience.
