Sonic Racing Crossworlds is not new to leaks. And even with the official launch happening next week, it doesn’t stop details from falling through the cracks. The latest isn’t some rumor or insider but from a physical copy delivered early. If you prefer to get surprised by post-launch announcements, you may need to read something else as this article will reveal what was leaked.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Unannounced Collabs And Racers Leaked
As of now, the latest Sonic racing game features a base roster of 23 characters, all of which have already been announced. In addition, there’s one preorder bonus racer, three season pass racers, 13 free post-launch characters, and 15 paid DLC characters coming from collaborations with other franchises.
Not all of these characters have been revealed yet, including the season pass collaborations. So far, only Minecraft, SpongeBob, and Pac-Man are confirmed, but the latest leak reveals all six franchises. Early physical copies that were delivered included the full list, showing Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar as the remaining collaborations.
For years, fans have been clamoring for a new Mega Man game, yet it still hasn’t happened despite strong demand and multiple cameos across other titles.
Apart from the physical copy leak, an alternative cover for the IDW Sonic Racing Crossworld comics showed Tangle as part of the roster too. You can see him and his unmistakable tail in the first image on the left.
It may not be as hard evidence as the collab leak but pretty much. Plus, Tangle was already rumored before to be part of the game, as well as Whispers,which remains to be a rumor for now.
Sonic Racing Crossworlds officially launches on September 25th, with some players able to preload the game as early as tomorrow.
