EA Making The Lord of the Rings Games Again

EA has once again picked up The Lord of the Rings license and started working on new LotR games.

EA has not exactly done a good job of winning over gamers in the last few years, but that may all change with their new license.

EA has acquired the Lord of the Rings license and has partnered with Middle-earth Enterprises to create a brand-new free-to-play collectible RPG for iOS and Android.

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will feature “immersive storytelling, turn-based combat, deep collection systems, and a wide roster of characters.”

EA says that the game is “solely inspired by Middle-earth as described in the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.”

We don’t know much about The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, but we can expect microtransactions and premium currency with it being a free-to-play mobile game.
