E3 2023 Physical and Digital Events Officially Canceled
April 3, 2023 | Gaming News E3 2023 has officially been canceled with both the digital and physical events no longer taking place this June.
E3 2021, the world’s biggest video game event, is to go ahead in June as an online-only event.
E3 is the place to be every year for the hottest game announcements, and this year will be no different.
Already confirmed for the premier showcase is Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, and Koch Media.
Sony and EA will most likely not participate, as Sony stopped attending E3 a few years ago, and EA will most likely do EA Play instead.
Bethesda’s presentation will follow Xbox on the same stream after ZeniMax Media was acquired by Microsoft earlier in the year, but it will still be a separate showcase.
It is still early days, and we expect more big names in the gaming industry to announce their attendance soon.
E3 2021 is a free online-only all-virtual event and could see a record attendance after recent years have seen declining numbers.
The move to an online-only event makes sense in current conditions, as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of E3 2020.
There were rumors that some of the events will be behind a paywall or pass scheme, but the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) confirmed that the entire showcase would be completely free.
Although there is no confirmed news on what games we could see, here are a few potential games that may make an appearance:

I wonder if E3 will ever get back to its former non-covid size/popularity 🤔
More and more publishers seem to be leaving and doing their own thing instead.
But I guess it doesn’t matter much, as we still get awesome game announcements online either way 😁 So why bother spending a bunch of money on a physical event 😅
That said, I’m still curious to see what Ubisoft will announce this year – hopefully something new about Beyond Good & Evil 2!
God i love E3,good thing that it will be online this year and free for all.

I’m giddy about Perfect Dark. When I started watching the trailer I got worried it had nothing to do with the game of my childhood but it does indeed seem to be related, so I’m excited. (Discord: Swifty)
