We’ve last seen Dungeon Siege back in 2011 with Dungeon Siege 3, and now Square Enix is bringing it back but not in the usual video game form we’ve always known.

NFT-based platform The Sandbox has announced its partnership with Square Enix in order to bring “RPG experiences to the metaverse” through Dungeon Siege LAND and more.

According to The Sandbox, the partnership consists of two complementary parts: first is Dungeon Siege LAND mentioned above, and second is voxel characters and items made via The Sandbox’s free VoxEdit and Game Maker #nocode creation tools.

How do I claim NFT in Sandbox?

In Dungeon Siege LAND, you’ll be able to play through Dungeon Siege in a voxel-based RPG form, while “learning best practices for constructing Dungeon Siege adventures” at the same time. The Sandbox claims their platform is perfect for Dungeon Siege since it “was popular with the modding community” and their LANDS can be used to create experiences with licensed and original content.
