Dreams of Another is the new third-person shooter from the team at Q-Games Ltd. A development team based in Japan and founded in August 2001 by Dylan Cuthbert. That year, the former Argonaut member left Sony, though he continued to collaborate with Nintendo and PlayStation over the years.
A developer known particularly for the PixelJunk series. This time, they’re offering a third-person shooter set in the dream world, where our bullets will be able to build rather than destroy. The title was announced on February 12, 2025, initially just for PS5, but with a PC launch now confirmed. Dreams of Another – Release Date Confirmed
Following Q-Games’ unmissable appearance at the 2025 edition of BitSummit, we have new info about Dreams of Another. On July 18, 2025, the team revealed the release date for the new shooter experience in the dream world. The game will launch on PS5 and PC, with support for PS VR2 and VR, on October 10, 2025.
The team accompanied the announcement with an Official Trailer, taking us into the dreamlike world created by Baiyon, the director of PixelJunk Eden. We’ll explore a game world with a strong artistic style based on the concept of “No Creation Without Destruction”. Here, our weapons will be able to bring about creation, all wrapped in a deep reflection on the world and on human life.
Dreams of Another: What to Expect from the New Q-Games Title
The new experience from Q-Games is an adventure third-person shooter with a focus on exploration. We’ll explore the dream world following the two protagonists, Man in Pajamas and Wandering Soldier, discovering their story and experience. It offers:
- World of Dreams: Explore a unique and ethereal dream world, enhanced by a graphic style using point cloud technology. This gives everything a dreamlike feel and reactive physics.
- Poetic Story: Follow the story of the two protagonists, as well as various entities you’ll meet, with a deep reflection on the world, human life, and more.
- Also in VR: An experience that can be enjoyed both traditionally and in VR. With support for PlayStation VR2 and higher resolutions on PS5 Pro.
Additionally, the Q-Games team announces along with the new project the arrival of PixelJunk Eden 2. It will finally debut on PS5, PS4, and PC on October 10, 2025, having already launched on Nintendo Switch back in 2020.
