Blizzard announced in advance that with Season 4, the fun should return to Diablo 4. Unfortunately, many players quickly lost interest in Diablo 4, leading to a rapid decline in player numbers. Blizzard aims to counteract this with the new Season Loot Reborn and has therefore made many changes. As the name of the season implies, much has also changed regarding loot, as this was one of the issues that bothered many fans.

Let’s talk about the biggest changes in the Loot Reborn Season, which are loot and crafting. The focus of the game changes significantly here. In the last season, you always got your best loot dropped from your enemies. Not anymore. Now you’ll get significantly less loot dropped from your enemies. But the items you do get will better suit your character, so you’ll receive weapons that also match your class more often.

But that’s not all. Crafting will be the big new focus. New crafting features like tempering are coming your way. With this feature, you can improve the quality of your items and use them for longer. Affixes will now also matter more. You can store legendary affixes in the Codex of Power and use them repeatedly.

You can now also improve affixes with the new Augmentation feature and materials from the new “Master’s Forge.” Affixes can now, with a low chance, become major affixes. These will then receive 1.5 times the value. So it’s worth trying multiple times, even if it means grinding for materials. But this is exactly what the game lacked, an incentive to grind and loot a lot. Now, with fewer but better drops, this incentive is restored.

But of course, new content has also been added. As mentioned earlier, there is now the new Master’s Forge as a new area. New super bosses, the Tormented Echoes, await you. Also, a new story quest, the Iron Wolves, awaits you. Naturally, there are also new items, a fresh Battle Pass, and some balance adjustments.
