Bloomberg journalist and industry insider Jason Schreier has revealed that Diablo 4 is receiving positive feedback from those playing it in a closed alpha test.
According to Schreier, Blizzard has begun a “friends-and-family alpha test,” and although NDAs protect it, feedback is positive.
Unfortunately, we don’t know any more details as the NDA agreements prevent those in the Diablo 4 alpha testing from releasing images, videos, or gameplay information.
The news hasn’t been received well by everyone, as some point to the fact that Diablo Immortal had positive feedback from testers before it was released.
Many found Diablo Immortal a fun game, but far too many microtransactions made it pay-to-win.
Blizzard has already stated that Diablo 4 will not be pay-to-win, and its microtransactions will purely be for cosmetics.
We will likely have to wait a little longer for more information on Diablo 4 and its details, likely when Blizzard begins the open beta tests later in 2022.
