Another DC game is heading out the door, and this one barely had time to settle in. Just three years after launch, DC’s Justice League Cosmic Chaos is preparing to leave digital storefronts, marking the end of its short but memorable run.
DC’s Justice League Cosmic Chaos Delisting
DC’s Justice League Cosmic Chaos, developed by Outright Games and published by PHL Collective, has announced that it will be leaving digital stores soon as its licensing agreement is set to expire in March.
No exact date has been confirmed but given that the game originally launched on March 10, 2023, the delisting will likely happen on March 9, marking the end of a three-year licensing term.
The game itself is an extremely fun, family-friendly superhero adventure featuring iconic DC characters in a colorful open-world setting. While it earned praise from players for its humor, accessibility, and co-op gameplay, it unfortunately did not do so well commercially.
The developers have confirmed that anyone who already owns the game will still have access to it in their library and will be able to download and play it without restrictions even after it is delisted.
If you’re even remotely interested, now would be a great time to pick it up.. The game normally carries a $40 price tag, which is not insignificant, especially considering the amount of insane releases the past three years. So Outright Games is letting out a final hurrah for the game, discounting it at a whopping 90% off on almost all platforms.
On Steam, the 90% discount runs until March 5. Nintendo is offering the same 90% discount until March 19, while Xbox also has the game discounted by 90%, though no specific end date has been listed.
Unfortunately for PlayStation users, there is a reason it is “almost all platforms.” As of writing, there are no discounts available on the PlayStation Store for this title, not even for PS Plus members.
DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos is about to become another licensed game lost to time. For collectors and DC fans, this may be the last chance to grab it before it disappears from storefronts for good.
