Day of the Shell (DotS) is the tactical adventure roguelite from the team at Duper Games. In collaboration with Goblinz Publishing, the game was first announced in June 2024 as part of the Guerrilla Collective 2024 showcase. It’s also the debut game from the small French studio based in Montpellier.
Bringing a roguelite-style adventure where our actions will unfold with a single click. Playing as a monster hunter, we’ll have to make our way through what’s left of civilization after the fury of the gods and put an end to the chaos. Day of the Shell – Launch Date Confirmed
Following the announcement in early May, the Goblinz Publishing team is finally bringing new updates on Day of the Shell. The previous news confirmed the arrival of the tactical adventure roguelite from Duper Games on consoles as well. And now, with the news from 01 July 2025, the team finally confirms the launch date as 29 July 2025.
This comes with an official trailer, giving a deeper look at the main features of DotS. It offers a mix of strategy with turn-based tactics, actions with a simple click per turn, and a Roguelite core. We’ll make our way through various islands, unlocking new skills, and where every death gives us a new chance to tackle the run.
Day of the Shell: The Latest News
With the official announcement of the long-awaited launch date, we also have a new surprise. The Duper Games team has updated the Steam demo to the full game’s Prologue. Bringing lots of new stuff, including:
- 13 Islands to Explore and 5 Unique Enemies
- Weapons: Revolver and Crossbow
- Skills: 9 Blessings and 12 Relics to combine. And 7 Runes to upgrade Passive Skills.
All this comes with a Demo available on some consoles. This will allow players to get ready and get an idea of the game ahead of the launch at the end of July.
