DAVY x JONES is the new fps adventure from the Parasight team. A Polish development team, founded in 2016 as “The Parasight” by some industry veterans. They brought to life Blacktail in 2022, a game with publisher Focus Entertainment set in the world of Slavic folklore featuring Baba Yaga.
A game that received a great success, especially for its atmosphere and its faithful use of Slavic folklore. The team returns in 2025 with a new surprise announcement, revealing a new title expanding the myth of pirate Davy Jones, slated for release on PC and Console. DAVY x JONES: New FPS Adventure Announced by the Team Behind Blacktail
Following a small teaser for the announcement on May 22nd, the Parasight team returns in 2025 with a major surprise. On May 26th, 2025 they revealed their new project with DAVY x JONES. A new first-person action adventure where we play as the pirate Davy Jones, embarking on an epic quest for revenge from the afterlife.
The announcement comes with the game reveal in collaboration with IGN, showcasing the announcement trailer where the game world is presented. It’s an action-packed shooter where we will guide the two entities Davy and Jones out of The Locker, the afterlife of sailors, seeking revenge against the nemesis Blackbeard.
DAVY x JONES: What We Know So Far
The new Parasight title offers a first-person action shooter where we control the two entities of Davy Jones. After being betrayed and decapitated, he finds himself in the dimension of The Locker, where the spirits of sailors roam. The journey offers:
- Guide Davy and Jones: After being decapitated, the famous pirate is split into two entities—Davy, his skull, and Jones, his body. You’ll guide the unlikely duo to reclaim their treasures and seek revenge on Blackbeard.
- Explore The Locker: An open world where you’ll explore a mysterious afterlife, navigating 9 islands through a sea of clouds filled with dangers and other legends like the Kraken. You’ll sail aboard your hybrid ship-whale Abby.
- Action Shooter: A true FPS action adventure with guns and swords. Use Davy and Jones’ abilities to gather the essence of defeated enemies. This essence will materialize into treasure, guarded by a malevolent spirit.
