Darksiders 4 Announced by THQ Nordic, and its a sequel to the original game
THQ Nordic has announced Darksiders 4 during its latest showcase. The upcoming action RPG will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will continue where the original game left off.
Announced during the recent THQ Nordic Showcase, Darksiders 4 will pick up where the original game in 2010 finished, continuing the epic post-apocalyptic story following the Four Horsemen.
For the first time in the series, all four Horsemen are playable characters, whether it’s in solo or co-op mode, which supports 2-4 players.
A Return to War – Darksiders 4 Story Details
Unveiled with a short teaser trailer, Darksiders 4 is a direct sequel to Darksiders 1, picking up after War defeats Abaddon, known as The Destroyer.
War is subsequently killed by Uriel, before he is then resurrected from the breaking of the Seventh Seal, a mystical artefact created to maintain the balance of Heaven and Hell.
Darksiders 4 would then most likely continue after the other Horsemen, Death, Fury, and Strife, descend to Earth.
Together, the four may fight against the Charred Council. However, THQ is yet to share specific story details.
Gameplay and Platform Expectations
Darksiders 4 will feature the series’ iconic third-person combat and its Steam reveals players will “Experience fast-paced, visceral action blending melee, fluid traversal, and supernatural abilities.”
The game does not have an exact release date yet. However, THQ says players can wishlist it now for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
