Cyberpunk 2077 has gone through various transformations since its release in 2020, and now its 2.0 update will fundamentally change the way the game is played with new systems and perks. And it comes out just before the Phantom Liberty expansion.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 is a new update that will significantly change CD Projekt Red’s sci-fi RPG. The changes include new perk trees, reworked stats, vehicle combat, and a new police system.
With the update, there are many more ways to customize your build that let you be things like a hack-and-slash netrunner or a bullet-time ninja with more impactful and meaningful perks.
The new Skills progression system will automatically place points into upgrades as you earn experience, granting you stat boosts and ability modifiers.
And clothes will no longer give armor stats, meaning you can dress up or down however you want, as armor is now granted through a new cyberware category.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 releases on September 21 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s free to download for everyone.
Phantom Liberty releases a few days later on September 26. The expansion will feature a new area, a new story, and plenty of new weapons and gadgets to help you explore Night City. It also features Idris Elba.
