Let’s face it, Japanese games get mediocre English voice acting on average. It’s just the way things are. But it seems Bandai Namco is stepping up their localization game for the European and North American versions of their upcoming Souls-like action RPG, Code Vein. This much seems true when you hear how Louis sounds in the game’s latest character trailer.

The Japanese version of the trailer came first but was followed shortly by the English version. In it, we get a taste of Louis’ backstory, and of course, a sampling of his English voice. Have a gander:
Trailers for Mia Karnstein and Yakumo Shinonome that were released a few days ago also had some pretty good voice acting.
If the quality of the voice acting proves to be the same for the rest (or at least most) of the game, then players might actually prefer to keep the English voices on instead of the usual Japanese voices with English subtitles option.
Code Vein is set to launch in Japan on September 27th. It arrives on western shores the day after for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Louis trailer is the best out of the 3 shown so far in my opinion. I think this game is going to be really good. Can't wait!
