Two creator packs for Cities: Skylines 2 are now facing a delay. The news refers to the Modern Architecture and Urban Promenades DLC packs. Developer Colossal Order is focusing on ensuring everyone is “satisfied with the state of the game” before adding more content.
Explaining the decision to delay in a Steam post, the developer reveals both the Modern Architecture and Urban Promenades DLC will now come in Q4 2024, which in turn pushes the upcoming Bridges & Ports expansion to Q2 2025.
The reasoning for the delays is to address and fix issues after feedback from the recent Economy 2.0 patch and Detailer’s Patch #2. Colossal Order also continues to work on the console version and the Asset Editor. With so much to work on, the team feels they need to sort the base game before they release further DLC.
Although content delays are frustrating, players can take comfort in knowing that the developer is focused on fixing issues. Upcoming updates will soon address bugs, tweak balance, fix achievements, fix custom assets, and improve the overall gameplay experience.
