A funny adventure where we play as Kuuta, the only survivor of the Demon King’s army, and a mysterious spirit, Kazemaru, helping him in his quest. Which is mainly focused on… fighting! Indeed, we find ourselves on an island in the middle of the ocean, and a lot of demons and other challenges are waiting for us, with big fighting sessions in particular, allowing to level up. But you can also decide to run away from the fight, to play cat and mouse in a way, or collect mushrooms to improve your club.
The ideas are there, but probably due to lack of budget, the execution is poor. The island is too small, the music ends up being cut off, the story is not very well worked out. The fights are finally interesting, it’s the strong point of the game. As a promo, I eventually recommend it.
Anime action RPG where you can roam an island with three different areas populated by demons. You have a bat to fight with and a sidekick. Defeat the demons and suck the evil soul out of their bodies. Because you can switch between the main character and the sidekick, it is actually a kind of co-op game.

From the gaming parent-company of the famous Shueisha, the largest publishing company in Japan, ONI : Road to be the Mightiest Oni is a rather colorful action adventure game set in the little island of Kisejima, where the protagonist the little blue oni Kuuta and his wind spirit Kazemaru are challenging all the spirits of the island in order to restore Kuuta’s pride and defeat Momotaro.
With tons of different challenges to take on and several approach to level up, including running away from monsters, escorting missions,collecting mushrooms and more Kuuta will rapidly grow stronger and stronger, by also unlocking new clubs and a simple yet charming gameplay and the watercolored landscape of the island, is presenting the game as a pretty relaxed atmosphere but also a fun little adventure!
